The Law Of Assumption: Feeling is the Secret

Updated: Sep 5

Scripture tells us that "from the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks." The mouth of man is the mind of man.

For indeed, what comes out of the lips is designed by the mind. Thoughts become words. But what flows from the heart is energy or feeling.

Thoughts married to feelings create and procreate reality. To talk is not the same as to speak. To speak is a conscious act with the intention to create.

Thoughts without feelings are like sperms without eggs. There cannot be conception. To create reality is to conceive of it and birth it like a woman will do.

One must feel and then speak. For the mind is male and the heart is female. They two must become one for creation to take place.

Luke 6:45 "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh." — Jesus Christ.

The treasure of the heart is the feeling in the depth of the subconscious mind.

For truly the heart of man is the subconscious mind, the womb of creation, the cosmos within man. All feelings are born out of the way you feel about yourself.

This leads us to the powerful teaching of Neville Goddard on the Law of Assumption. Goddard taught that the key to manifesting your desires lies in assuming the feeling of the wish fulfilled. In other words, to bring forth a new reality, you must first embody the feeling that the desired outcome is already true.

The Law of Assumption and Identity

If you feel like a good man, then all feelings born out of that subconscious identity will make your life good. Identity is the feeling that gives birth to thoughts of its kind.

According to Neville, "Assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled, and continue feeling it until that which you feel objectifies itself." In essence, your identity shapes your reality, as it is the core assumption you hold about yourself.

Every thought resembles the identity from which it is born. And all feelings are from the thought that initiates them.

The reality they create are children to such identity. Goddard would say that by assuming a new identity—by deeply feeling that you already are what you wish to be—you naturally align your thoughts and feelings with this new reality, and it must come to pass.

It's useless trying to change your feelings unless you change the identity that generates such a feeling.

What do you truly believe about yourself?

How do you truly feel about yourself from the depth of your heart? Neville would remind us that the world mirrors not what we wish for, but what we assume to be true about ourselves.

To Shift Identity is to Shift Destiny

To shift identity is to shift destiny. For a "good man brings forth out of his heart or subconscious mind what is good." — Jesus Christ.

Neville emphasized that the secret to transforming your life is to live in the state of the wish fulfilled, to act as though your desired reality is already here. This means feeling now as you would feel if you had already achieved your goals.

Are you believing you are not good enough? According to the Law of Assumption, what you deeply believe about yourself will inevitably manifest in your external world. Well, then this version of you known as "I AM not good enough" will create a life that will resemble it. There is no other way. This is LAW.

Living From the End

Goddard taught that the key to successfully applying the Law of Assumption is to "live from the end."

This means imagining and feeling the end result as if it were already true, regardless of current circumstances.

By consistently assuming and feeling that your desire is fulfilled, you impress this belief upon your subconscious mind, which then goes to work to manifest it in your reality.

So, if you desire to be a good man, to live a life of abundance, love, and success, you must first assume that you are already that man.

Feel the joy, the peace, and the fulfillment of having already achieved your desires. Let this new identity shape your thoughts, feelings, and actions. And as Neville taught, "If you assume success and persist in that assumption, it must manifest in your world."

The Law of Assumption is the creative power behind all that we experience. It is not a matter of trying to change the outer world directly, but of changing our inner world—the assumptions we hold about ourselves and our lives.

By aligning our inner identity with our desires, we align our external reality to match it. This is the profound truth that Neville Goddard so eloquently taught.
